Sue Blackshaw Counselling

At Sue Blackshaw Counselling, we understand that people access counselling for a wide variety of reasons, and we believe that there is no right or wrong reason to reach out for support. Each individual's experience is unique, and seeking counselling can be a valuable resource for anyone seeking support, guidance, or understanding. We provide a safe and non-judgmental space for individuals to explore their thoughts, emotions, and concerns, regardless of the reasons that led them to seek counseling. Our goal is to support each person in their journey towards improved mental well-being, offering a neutral and empathetic environment for all.

We receive a variety of enquiries for support, with common areas including relationship issues, anxiety, depression, work-related stress, grief, and self-esteem concerns. However, it's important to note that our support is not limited to these areas, and we strive to assist individuals facing a wide range of challenges. If you have any specific concerns or would like to discuss your individual needs, please feel free to reach out to us for further information.

Our services are available to individuals who may not be in crisis but find themselves at a crossroads in life.
The support and guidance we offer are not limited to crisis situations; we provide a safe space for clients to explore their options, navigate life transitions, and seek clarity in decision-making. Whether you're facing significant life changes, relationship challenges, or simply feeling uncertain about the next steps in your personal or professional life, our counseling services are here to help you through this process.
Feel free to reach out and begin this journey of self-exploration and growth, regardless of whether you're in the midst of a crisis or simply seeking support during a pivotal moment in your life.

Evening and weekend sessions are available to meet needs.

Clients have the option to pre-book sessions on a weekly basis at a regular time and day that suits their schedules. This approach allows for consistency and routine, which can be beneficial in the counseling process. However, for those with more unpredictable schedules, varied session times and days can also be accommodated.
It is typical for clients to attend counseling sessions on a weekly basis to support the development of continuity and routine in their therapeutic journey. Each counseling session is generally 50 minutes in duration, providing ample time for meaningful discussion and reflection.
